Annavaram Branch Programme

Bharat Vikas Parishad, Annavaram (Satyadevara Branch), AP-East was installed the new bod for 2011 to 2012 by Smt.Pilla Nirmala (State President-AP East) on 11th May 2011. Sri.Yeerlu Varahalu as President, Sri.Suri babu as Secretary, Sri.D.Giri as Treasurer has taken oath. Sri.V.Veera bhadra rao (past secretary) has given Previous year Report. Sri.V.S.N.Murthy (State Secretary), Sri.K.V.Ramana murthy (State Organizing Secretary), Sri.S.Krishna Murthy (State Treasurer), V.Anjaneya Prasad (State E.C.Member), Sri.V.Kantharao (Patron) has participated.

In connection with the installation of Annavaram branch, the State President Smt.Pilla Nirmala inaugurated a service  project i.e., inaugurated the the programme of the distribution of the JUTE BAGS, each containing Pamphlet about the Ideology of Bharat Vikas Parishad to the pilgrims, visiting the Sree Sree Sree Satyanarayana swamy Devasthanam temple, Annavaram to carry Prasadam to eradicate the usage of Polythene cover to save environment. On all the JUTE BAGS the name of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Sri Satydevara Branch Annavaram is inscribed with a slogon to protect the environment.

Kakinada Installation Programm

Bharat Vikas Parishad Kakinada Branch Instillation was held at Ramakrishna Public School Meditation Hall on 1st May 2011. The new body was installed by Smt.Pilla Nirmala (State President-BVP-APEast). Sri.R.Ravi Shankar Patnaik as president, Sri.Y.Srinivasarao as Secretory, Sri.J.Ramanayya Raju as Tresurer has taken oath.

Sri.Dr.Badam Balakrishna (Founder of  'Badam Balakrishna Eye Bank') was attended as guest of honor. Prof.Janaki Jani, Sri. Harichandraprasad, Dr.C.Surya Prakasarao, Sri.K.V.Ramana Murthy (State Organizing Secretary), Sri.V.S.N.Murthy (State General Secretary), Sri.S.Krishna Murthy (State Treasurer), Sri.Varadaraju (State EC Member) and other dignitaries has attended.

Kalam advisor's death sparks false rumors

New Delhi: "Kalam" was one of the top Twitter trends Tuesday afternoon, all because of a false rumour circulating about former President APJ Abdul Kalam's death. "Abdul kalam" and "abdul kalam latest news" were also the top two most searched for keywords on Google India.

In fact, Dr Hafiz Saleh Muhammad Alladin, a renowned astronomer and educational advisor to the former President, passed away on Monday following a brief illness. Some people confused the news for APJ Abdul Kalam's death and Twitter was flooded with tweets about his death and also those rebuffing the news. 

A tweet from author Shobha De, paying homage to Kalam, further fanned fire. De later deleted the tweet and posted an apology for the gaffe. Apparently the story about Kalam's death started as an SMS and then made its way to Twitter and other social networking services.

 A couple of months ago, a newspaper had tweeted about Shashi Kapoor's death only to realise later that the veteran Bollywood actor was very much alive.
